Overwintering sandhill cranes and snow geese hang out in the fields on either side of this hike. The trail itself is paved, with little elevation. It's a good one for hiking with children and/or dogs. We parked at the Frenchman's Bar Regional Park ($3 fee) so we'd be near a restroom.
