WebJan 17, 2024 · In 2005 Ford made its automatic a 5 speed with a tow/haul feature. Also the horsepower rating on the the Ford V10 has increased from 310 to about 360. It depends on the model year of the coach. I haven't heard of any major problems with either engine except for the ones John mentioned. WebNov 18, 2016 · Thanks folks, looks like the lower HP rating for the new V10 is for the good. Less RPM, less noise in the front & a bit better performance, sounds like a winner to me. Ford Motor Company or their engineers, have got to have somebody reading our post about the F53, because the improvements are going in the right direction.
