WebFeb 24, 2010 · I tried 2>err.txt in the ubuntu terminal with other flightgear commands when I started it. It seemed to work for a while but then freezes again. It might be something to do with the file growing enormously large (hundreds of megabits). I also tried nul, but I don't think I did it right. I had: 2>nul.txt.
