The start up Little Stand and the descent from Ore Gap are without the heavily trodden paths now common in the Lake District. WebIntroduction: The Crinkle Crags walk has to be one of the best Lake District walks. The views are beautiful, dramatic and exhilarating as you work your way along the five summits of the Crinkle Crags ridge. Especially impressive is the sight of Scafell Pike. There are also good views of the Langdale Pikes - in fact everywhere!

I somehow managed to pick up some speed during my descent back into Great Langdale where more walkers are passed in ascent most of whom were friendly but appeared to be new to fell walking.
